The sandwiches are good, the service is friendly and efficient. I'm not sure what the hype is though...but it is a reliable sandwich shop.

Great sandwiches. I'm a big fan of the Uncle Chubby, The UES location is small so it is basically a take out spot.

Happened by this place off of 2nd Ave. Settled on the Cousin Anthony; Smoked Chicken, Fresh Mozz, Arugula, Balsamic Glaze, EVOO on Stirato Bread, and I had them add Regina's Calabrian Chili Spread. All the ingredients were fresh and top notch. The heat from the chili spread worked nicely with the crunch and chewiness of the stirato bread. The staff was professional and attentive. The room has a couple of two tops and a table outside. I'll be back.

This place is steeep in $$$$ Overall I liked the sandwich but I wish the bread was better. Don't get me wrong it was good but with better bread it would have been amazing. The base of the sandwich was really really good. Bread was only thing holding back its potential. The ingredients inside the bread are absolutely amazing and is what is carrying the show! The atmosphere in the place is fun and welcoming! Need to try one in their hero bread.

I almost cried when I took the first bite of this sandwich. I did cry a little I'm not ashamed. I got two traffic tickets on my way here and the cashier noticed and turned my day completely around with his kindness. Thank you, and god bless.

Awe man where do I start, this place is great. It such a small shop with the most welcoming staff. Walked in and off the bat already knew what I wanted because I saw this spot on social media. Came to try the Uncle Jimmy Sandwich and I was not disappointed. The whole overall sandwich was delicious. Tasted fresh, great amount, looks appetizing and is just overall a 10/10. It is a small shop but you will find seating wether it's inside or outdoor seating they have. Also it's a great place for just on the go super fast service. Love this place !

Try: Uncle Jimmy Sandwich! Why: Really good Italian sandwich shop and a great addition to UES. Uncle Jimmy Sandwich was layered with Prosciutto, Sopressata, Smoked Ham, Mozzarella, Arugula, and Roasted Reds. It also had Chili Spread, Olive Oil, and Balsamic, which had a nice kick and added flavor. I didn't love the Stirato Bread but everything in between was delicious. I also tried Lil Phil Sandwich with Smoked Ham, Provolone Cheese, Lettuce and Tomatoes. It was a good classic sandwich but I felt it needed some sauce or oil for added flavor. Notes: Small and neat sandwich shop with a few tables inside and outside. Loved seeing the meat display and the Italian ingredients on wall. Workers were friendly and quick. I came on a Saturday during lunch time with a couple people ahead of me in line. I hope more locals discover this shop and I look forward to trying their other sandwiches!

One of the best sandwiches I have bad on the Upper East Side. I have been to the actual place twice since it opened and I have had delivery from this place. The people who work here are very nice. One of the guys remembered me. I usually get the Lil phil sandwich which is smoked ham, provolone cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. It's chefs kiss... sooo good! They have other types of sandwiches as well but I have not tried them. I think this place used to be a barber shop. As you can see in pictures it is not a big space. They have interesting things on the wall too.

Definitely one of the best spots to eat now on the Upper East Side, another little location similar to the original just opened right off 2nd Ave. Same as all the others so far, but they may soon offer more with access to a bigger kitchen here. For now, get the Uncle John or the Roman, two of the best sandwiches on the menu.
